Graduates from different scientific areas can apply to the Masters of the Católica Porto Business School.
The application process to the Masters of the Católica Porto Business School must contain elements that provide evidence of the academic and scientific competence of the candidates, as well as the command of the English language. The GMAT test is valued in the selection process to assess the academic and scientific skills
Applicants will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Academic and scientific curriculum
- Degree classification
- Professional experience or research
Language of instruction
Courses taught exclusively in Portuguese
- Auditing and Taxation
- Human Resources Management
Courses taught in Portuguese and English
- Management (some subjects, namely optional subjects, may be taught exclusively in English)
Courses taught exclusively in English
- Business Economics
- Finance
- Marketing
Applications for Masters of the Católica Porto Business School are permanently open.
The Programme Direction meets three times a year to assess the applications. After this meeting, candidates are informed of the decision and the next steps.

The opening of applications in each phase depends on the remaining vacancies of the previous phase. Foreign applicants who require a visa are advised to apply as early as possible so that, in the case of admission, they will be able to treat all the formalities associated with the visa in good time.

- Diploma or Certificate including a transcript of records (with full course list and grades), mentioning a final grade for the degree, and information on the grading scale, indicating the minimum and maximum pass mark

Applicants who have not yet graduated should submit the following documents instead of the diploma:
- an interim academic transcript showing the subjects already completed and their final grades discriminated. Screenshot images from self-service portals are also acceptable if applicants are unable to obtain a transcript document, and
- a declaration under oath [19] stating the course, school, expected average and the conclusion date

Form for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) [20] - if applicable
- Optional elements that may enrich your application
- Diploma of English, official level B2 or higher of The Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of References for Languages, or equivalent diploma (TOEFL, IELTS, FCE ou CAE)
- Complementary evaluation elements (e.g., GMAT ...)
- If the country in which the degree was completed did not adhere to the Bologna Process, the certificate should indicate, instead of the credits ECTS of each curricular unit, the respective hour load.
- Any document not in English, French or Spanish, must be accompanied by a certified translation.
- Documents issued in other countries must be legalized by the Portuguese diplomatic or consular authority in the issuing country, or contain the Hague Apostille [21], except for United Kingdom, and countries from EU, or European Economic Area, or European Free Trade Association.

Your admission will only be considered valid after the payment of the respective fee (50€) has been confirmed by UCP, so you should make your payment according to the ATM references(for Portuguese bank accounts) or the bank data (international bank transfers) indicated in the final admission information.

The results will be published on a digital platform with restricted access to applicants, who will receive the credentials and access link by email, on a date close to the publication of the results (see step ❷), and will be presented with one of the following designations:
- "Admitted" - if the applicant is admitted without any conditions
- "Conditionally admitted" - the admission is conditional on the completion of the degree with the indicated final grade, and submission of the respective supporting documents on the stipulated date
- "Referred to the next round" - being assessed at the next round on an equal basis with new candidates at that round.
- "Not Admitted"
Only those candidates who are Admitted or Conditionally Admitted, may proceed to step ❼ Registration.
Admitted or conditionally admitted applicants will receive an email with information regarding the enrolment procedure and fees to be paid. For the enrolment, the following elements will be required:
- Registration form and other specific documents to be indicated at the time of admission
- Proof of payment of the registration fee and first monthly tuition (see the "Fees and Tuitions” tab)
- 1 passport-type photo
- Information requested by the Portuguese Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education - RAIDES survey (will be made available in due course)
- Copy of the Vaccination card with the date of the last Tetanus immunization
The originals of the qualification certificates or other documents must be presented on a date and time to be indicated by the Academic Services.

The Board of the Católica Porto Business School decided to create a set of Scholarships for the purpose of rewarding the merit of the students whose academic performance deserves it. These consist in total exemption from tuition fees up to a maximum of 36 ECTS per semester and also from the enrolment and tuition fees.
Students who complete the degree in a foreign higher education institution, will only be eligible for scholarship award if they present a GMAT with a score of at least 650 points.
The merit scholarships can be renewed each semester. The eligibility criteria for the award of scholarship in the 2nd and 3rd semester master are:
- Completion of a minimum of 30 ECTS per semester with no failures in the normal or resit assessment period.
- Weighted average of the marks obtained in all the subjects concluded in the previous semester to the award of the scholarship equal to or greater than 16.0 values.
Furthermore, the attribution of specific scholarships for international students was approved, the regulation of which is available HERE. [25]
Fees for the academic year 2024/25
The value of ftuition and fees and other emoluments is set annually, so that the values to be charged in subsequent academic years will be increased

Submitting the application:
- UCP graduates: free
- Other students: 65€
- Acceptance and enrolment in the Masters: 720€
- 1st year tuition fees (curricular part: 60 ECTS): 10 instalments of 628,5€ (total of 6.285€)
- 2nd year tuition fees: 5 instalments of 754,2€ (total of 3.771€)
The application and the enrolment fees are not refundable under any circumstances (even If the student cancels the enrolment before initiating the course, or does not meet the conditions for admission in the case of conditional admission). The enrolment fee and 1st monthly tuition are due at the time of enrolment.
